An Ottoman flintlock pistol, ca. 1800
Round barrel with smooth bore in 15 mm caliber. Remnants of engraved decoration at the base of the barrel, stamped mark on the side. Domed lock plate with remnants of engraving, the cock screw a modern replacement. Blackened wood stock with a sheath of richly chased nickel silver sheet. The stock wood partially restored in the area of the lock side plate. Nickel silver butt cap in rich relief. Engraved iron trigger guard. Length 52 cm.
