A French miniature field gun, 18th century
Band-jointed bronze barrel in 14.5 mm caliber with a cannon conical muzzle, the midsection with sturdy trunnions (dolphins removed), the butt with a somewhat plastered coat of arms, ignition hole on the sighting ring, breech with an almost spherical cluster. Length 29.5 cm. On a wooden mount with iron fittings (one retaining ring for the gun barrel broken), wheels with iron-studded treads in cartwright quality. Mount with traces of corrosion and a few wormholes. Can be easily improved by restoration. Total length 42 cm.
