Black chagrin writing case with silver trim. Rectangular in shape with hinges, the interior features two slots for an inkwell and hourglass (missing), two boxes for pens and paper, and a slot in the lid for correspondence. The clasps are silver S-shaped, some of which are stamped with a discharge, and a central movable handle.
