First edition of three texts: La Femme abandonnée, La Grenadière & L'illustre Gaudissard. Le Message and Les Célibataires had already appeared in 1832, and so appear here for the second time, the former having previously been called Le Conseil and the latter subsequently becoming Le Curé de Tours.
Although dated 1834, the work was published around December 12, 1833.
Binding signed Grimm (Madison, Wisconsin) ca.1900, half morocco, first cover only preserved. Some rare foxing.
