Souvenir embroidery of a military campaign:
Piece in embroidered mauve silk, marked at the top in gold letters: "SOUVENIR DE MA CAMPAGNE AU TOUR DU MONDE - 1922/1923", the silk is embroidered with a rooster on two branches, below a medallion containing a painting, with gold lacquer highlights, showing a bay in Asia, around four flags on the left: France, Russia,
United States and Republic of China (1912/1928) and four flags on the right: France, Great Britain, Italy and Japan.
Japan, below, in another oval medallion containing an embroidery of a military ship: "JULES MICHELET" and two branches of knotted laurels; burled mahogany veneered frame with gilded brass marie-louise; 51 x 27 cm.
