Statuette of Amida-nyorai Buddha in gold-lacquered wood, seated in padmasana on a lotus-shaped base, in front of the mandorla, thumbs and forefingers back to back forming circles, the gesture that corresponds in the "nine classes" to "higher class and existence", (jôbon jôshô).
