This clock represents Marie-Caroline, Duchess of Berry. She is breast-feeding young Prince Henry, born on September 29, 1820, symbolizing maternity. The Duc de Bordeaux became the Comte de Chambord, pretender to the French crown from 1844 until his death in 1883.
