Avant-garde - Poland - Dabrowski, Marjan (ed.). Swiatowid. (World View). Issues 1-27, 38, 45 (a total of 29 of 52 issues of the 9th year). Richly illustrated throughout, some in color, including photomontages. Krakow, Swiatowid/Illustrowany Kuryer Codzienny, 1932. 24 pp. each. (issue 13 with 32 pp.). 29 x 40.5 cm. Color embroidered cloth binding of the period with original bound-in brochures (edges rubbed, somewhat stained, brochures mostly creased, some with slight edge wear). Illustrated weekly by the publisher and editor-in-chief Marjan Dabrowski, who also ran his own photo agency. - Design and layout with clear avant-garde influences. Published on Saturdays in Krakow, Poznan, Lwow and Vilnius. A large-format and very solidly printed magazine with topics ranging from politics and Hollywood to the colonial world and beauty creams, for him in sporty pyjamas and above all for her in a Polish silk robe. - Issue 1 overprinted in the header of the cover title (as "Special delivery for the United States", postdated to January 2 instead of January 10, "Printed in Poland" instead of "Cash postage will be charged"). Issue 6 with a small cut loss in pp. 5/6 - Some browning in places, scattered marginal tears.
