Album with 12 erotic gouaches in ink on cardboard. France, around 1815, each approx. 20 x 16.5 cm. Mounted on laid paper (25.5 x 19.5 cm) with gilt edges. Modern red marocco binding with gilt-stamped spine title. Very high-quality depictions of mostly half-dressed couples in aristocratic interiors of the Empire. Not signed, but certainly meticulously executed by an artist's hand. Some of the nudes take place in bed or on a chaise longue, others at a writing desk, two in the library, the last in a luxurious marble bathroom. - Gouaches slightly worn, backing sheets somewhat stained, overall in very good condition.
