TABRIZ carpet woven in the famous workshop of master weaver DJAFFER (Persia), late 19th century Dimensions: 178 x 128cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing. An imbrication of chevrons with accolades, navy, ivory and ruby, covered with polychrome floral scrolls, serves as framework and support for a vegetalized medallion, polylobed ivory with hexagonal navy heart and turquoise, gold and ruby center. The ivory border features flowering stems with multicolored corollas. It is flanked by two navy counter-borders with carnation garlands, highlighted in pastel with a series of "S" shapes. Original graphics and beautiful palette.
