Original KIRMAN-RAVER carpet (Persia), late 19th century
Dimensions: 154 x 105cm.
Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing.
An ivory field hosts a "Zili Sultan"-style design in the form of a succession of flowering vases from which armfuls of red roses emerge. Two navy and one ivory border feature garlands of flowers. Delicate poetry.
