CHINA, 20th century Red coral sculpture (possibly tinted) depicting a Kwan-Yin with a fan. At her feet is a laughing child holding the flying drape of the kwan-yin's dress. A few delicately carved rabbits wander at the feet of the two figures. Mounted on a suitable wooden base. Height: 16cm Weight of coral alone: 126.60gr *Red coral (Corallium spp) (Corallidae spp) (NR). Specimen not listed under the Washington Convention (CITES), nor under EC Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996, nor under the French Environment Code.
