Exhibition "Marina Athanasiou: petites sculptures à porter", Galerie Zoumboulakis, Athens, May 1993
During her studies at the Doxiadis School in Athens, Marina Athanasiou became the protégé of Yannis Tsarouchis, who introduced her to Franco Zeffirelli. Following this meeting, she designed the jewelry for one of his films. She sought her inspiration in the funerary sculpture of the Hellenistic period, and more particularly in the representation of feelings.
