Alfred Kremer was a German artist who studied painting at the Royal School of Applied Arts in Munich. During the last three years of his life, greatly afflicted by illness, he created a vast series of ink drawings on paper. The reduced size of the formats reinforces the intensity and power of his work, in which human beings and animals play a central role.
