Pestum-shaped sugar pot and lid in hard porcelain, yellow ground, with polychrome decoration of a frieze of pink daisies and inverted foliage, edged with gold fillets. Good condition, one chip restored to the lid.
Manufacture impériale de Sèvres, 1813.
Red stamp mark with imperial eagle (1813-1814), gold mark dated "30 mai TZ" for 30 mai 1813.
H. 11 x D. 8 cm.
Provenance
This sugar pot comes from the cabaret entered in the Sèvres sales store on July 21, 1814 (Arch. Sèvres, Vv1, 22 v°), including 12 litron cups for a total price of 201 francs. Unfortunately, we still don't know who the recipient was.
The milk jug from this cabaret recently sold at Thierry de Maigret, May 1, 2020, lot 320.
