OLwd. with red gold embossed cover label (stained).- Minutes book of the Hamburg Carnival Society Klimperkasten from 1872.- Contains approx. 50 transcripts of general meetings, foolish meetings, etc. from the period from May 23, 1892 to March 12, 1897. The meetings usually took place in the Hornhardt's Concertgarten inn on Spielbudenplatz in St. Pauli, the society's clubhouse, and were each opened by the chairman, who was referred to as 'great-uncle'.- The drawings show Carl Wilhelm (chairman of the Klimperkasten), a man with a Klimperkasten hanging around his neck and a cross on the occasion of the obituary for chairman Carl Lücke, who died in January 1895.
