KPM Berlin picture plate "Esther"
Late 19th cent, impressed mark from 1825, mint mark, impressed number 330 200, old adhesive label and handwritten inscription in graphite, rectangular porcelain plate with extremely fine polychrome painting after a painting, portrait of a young southern woman with golden headband and creoles in a long robe, standing in front of a fountain between a water jug and a flowering thistle, with a view of a suggested mountain landscape, indistinctly signed and inscribed on the lower right, probably A. Louis Eckardt (active in Dresden around 1890), framed in a wide lacquer moulding of the period, the signature slightly scratched, otherwise in very good condition for its age, plate dimensions 33 x 20 cm, frame dimensions 42 x 30 cm.
