Pompous potpourri vase with base
probably Bohemia, c. 1900, each with underglaze blue painted banded label mark and number 17847 in graphite, amphora form with partly openwork wickerwork, rocaille relief, lavish trimming, polychrome copper overprint decoration and colour and gold staffage, ovoid body with two volute handles above a tall, bulging stand, each surmounted by a small sculptural female head, richly decorated on all sides with depictions of three women in antique-style dress and numerous floral bouquets, lavish floral decoration hanging from the shoulder and as a floral bouquet on the lid, matching rocaille base with corresponding decoration, one handle glued and the decoration partially chipped, otherwise in good condition for its age, h 57 cm overall.
