France Pair of ceremonial vases flower bouquet
probably Schoelcher & Fils Paris, 1st half 19th cent, unmarked, each mounted in two parts, on a square pedestal and eight-faceted round base, twelve-sided body in the shape of a goblet crater with mascaron handles, semi-plasticised frieze in gemstone look and serrated rim, richly decorated with fine overglaze painting as a black ground with polychrome bouquet in the reserves on the front as well as floral relief gold painting and gold staffage, both old restored and with partly rubbed gilding, h 29 cm each.
