SERPENTINE CYLINDER SEAL IN THE NAME OF THE CHIEF OF PEPI II'S HAREM
Egyptian art, Old Kingdom, 6th dynasty, reign of Pepi II, 2280-2205 B.C.
Cylinder-seal inscribed on four registers with a hieroglyphic inscription: "(1) The Controller of the Harem, Superior of the Secrets of the King's House, (2) The Controller of the Harem, Superior of the Secrets of the Right District, (3) Horus Netjerkhaou (Divine Horus of Appearance), (4) King of Upper and Lower Egypt, Nefer-ka-Rê (Perfect is the Ka of Ra), Lord of the Two Crocodiles".
