On August 1, 1589, a Dominican Ligueur by the name of Jacques Clément assassinated Henri III at Saint-Cloud, near Paris. This occasional recounts the regicide in detail "... He drew his knife, which was hidden in his sleeve, with his dexter hand, and raising his arm, feict cy propos that he thrust his knife into the tyrant's belly and left him there...". A fine copy.
