Classicist ring with chalcedony cameo 18 ct gold. Flat ring head of rectangular shape with chamfered corners, set with a light brown and white layered chalcedony (26.2 x 18.3 mm) with a finely carved bust of Alexander the Great with horns of Ammon in profile view, framed by a pearl bar. Stamped: old stamps lost. Modern French import mark for gold. Ring head 2.9 x 2.1 cm. Weight 8.52 g. Probably England, early 19th century.
