Melle FOING - Incarnate silk and black muslin day dress + fan - Late 19th century
The ensemble is made in an incarnate pink silk covered with black pleated chiffon and lace.
The bodice has ¾ sleeves imitating a two-piece with armholes. The neckline is round and scooped with a lace trim. Front closure with hooks and snaps. The interior is lined in beige cotton and has a belt for support, signed: Melle Foing / Robes - 35 rue Régemortes Moulins.
The skirt matches and the ensemble also has a belt in the same material.

Nice document. The pink silk is torn and fused in several places on both parts. The muslin has a few tears and loose stitches.
Carved wooden fan with a black lace and gauze leaf and hand-painted decoration of an elegant lady with a swallow and bouquets of flowers in grisaille - Signed Leroy in the composition. Good structural condition - slight paint chips at the folds.
Attached is a silk book cover with a blue exterior trimmed with passementerie and embroidered with a flower design on one side. The model closes with a bow and the interior is padded with pink silk. 16 X 24 . Dirt and minor wear. The closing ribbon is baked and tapered.
