A late Victorian five stone diamond ring, with five graduated old mine cut diamonds, the central one estimated as approximately 1.20ct, interspaced with pairs of rose cut diamond points, all claw set to a carved head into a grooved band. Estimated total diamond weight 3.50 to 3.70ct, 4.97g Ring size M¾ Buying this diamond ring at auction could save up to 0.42 tonnes of CO2e compared to buying new. Condition Report: Diamonds are lively and sparkly. The central diamond has a large indented natural on one of the crown facets. One of the end diamonds has a chip to the girdle, the adjacent diamond has a large indented natural across a kite and a star facet. One of the end diamonds has a chip in the girdle. Excluding the external chips/naturals, the diamonds are generally clean and have only minor inclusions. Two claws need re-tipping. Areas of tarnish to the carved sections. The band shows evidence of resizing. A later plate was applied to the base of the shank possibly to reinforce it (on the reverse only)
