BAUDELAIRE, Charles. Les Fleurs du Mal. Second edition enlarged with thirty-five new poems and adorned with a portrait of the author drawn and engraved by Bracquemond. Paris, Poulet-Malassis et De Broise, 1861. In-12. 319 pp. Bound in full black morocco, ribbed spine decorated with filleted bands framing the boxes, filleted bands framing the boards, gilt fillet on the edges, inner lace, gilt edges, lined and edged slipcase. (Binding signed Semet & Plumelle).
Partly original second edition, with 35 new poems, others reworked; this edition, the last in the author's lifetime, does not contain the 6 pieces condemned in 1857. Title printed in red and black.
