Folder consisting of four lithographs numbered 101 of 120 plus a descriptive one entitled "Tunisiaca 1995: D'aprés Auguste Lumière." This folder, as one of the pages in the descriptive section reports, is a dedication to Tunisia on the centenary of the Lumière brothers. These are taken from original plates of the two brothers. In fact, after the invention of the cinematograph, the two brothers invented autochrome, from which they derived color photographs in 1903, patenting the "autochrome Lumière": an instrument that allowed color photographs to be taken with a simple click. The process of producing the autochrome plate was long and complex. Here, the former Prime Minister obtains four lithographs: two concerning two large and ancient Mosques: the Zitouna and the Kairouan in Tunis; the famous Des Nates café in Sidi Bou Said; and men intent around a game. Each lithograph bears on the left the number and dedication "d'Aprés a Lumière" and the signature "B. Craxi." The last descriptive finally bears the former Prime Minister's remark that the original work is fascinating and he hopes that its reproduction will not demerit. Hamamet, June 1995. This folder was given to the Bolognese singer-songwriter during Craxi's visit to Hamamet in Tunisia.
