An oil bottle of green glass hailing from 2nd or 3rd century AD Egypt, during the long period of Roman control. The body is shaped similarly to a pear, the mouth being a sort of leaf shape with a downcurved spout towards the front, and a handle with a folded section at its top which acts as decoration and an attachment point to the rest of the piece. Roman Egypt - ca 2nd-3rd century AD Dimensions: H: 4 in., (10.2 cm.) Good overall, with some chipped glass at the base and sediment throughout.
