Antique Victorian Pre-Raphaelite Style Painting, Proserpina & Ceres, Frederick Vincent Hart, 1897 A Pre-Raphaelite style allegorical painting dating to the Victorian period, and likely depicting Proserpina and Ceres, by Frederick Vincent Hart, who worked primarily in stained glass and decorated furniture and other objects for Collinson & Lock and Daniel Cottier. Housed in an ornate period gilt gesso frame. One of Hart's chair designs was featured in the 1871 London Exhibition and a secretaire was featured in the 1872 exhibition. A music cabinet that he decorated is currently wxhibited in The Frick, Pittsburgh. (https://collection.thefrickpittsburgh.org/objects/597).
