KPM Porcelain Plaque, St. John The Evangelist after Domenichino, Ca. 1875 A large hand painted KPM porcelain plaque after the Baroque painting by Il Domenichino, depicting St. John the Evangelist seated with a book and scroll, beside him a poisoned chalice with emerging snake, his eyes gazing at an eagle, the symbol by which he is often represented.
