viscount of Sainte-Suzanne,
Born March 7, 1760 at Mothé near Poivres (Aube), and died August 26, 1830 in Paris, was a French general of the Revolution and Empire. He served in the Vendée, then distinguished himself as one of the most competent divisionnaires in the Army of the Rhine, along with Desaix and Saint-Cyr.
