BAVIÈRE
Rare chamberlain's key for the Elector of Bavaria Maximilian Joseph III (1727-1777), Prince Elector from 1745 to 1777.
In finely chased and gilded bronze.
Ring chased on each side with the large arms of the Electorate of Bavaria under a crown, encircled by the collars of the Order of the Golden Fleece and the Order of Saint Michael, enriched at the base with the numeral "MJ".
Round, hollow shaft.
Perforated bit.
Length: 19.6 cm.
B.E. 18th century (between 1745-1777).
