Solveig, 15, is originally from Oregon. Introduced to biodiversity by her parents at an early age, she is fascinated by the sea, which she spends hours observing. She's a bright, studious student who excels in all subjects, but it's biology that attracts her most. She dreams of becoming a scientist, and spends her free time reading specialized books and taking part in sea outings organized by nature protection associations, in particular to study algae in their natural environment. In the future, Solveig hopes to study biology at a prestigious university and then join a research laboratory. Her dream is to discover new species of algae with properties that will benefit future generations.
