Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Mercy, seated casually on a prostrate lion, one leg on top of the animal's back, one leg standing firmly on the ground in front. Supporting himself with his left hand on the lion's neck while the other arm is resting leisurely on his knee. Dressed in flowy robes, wearing bracelets, earrings and necklace, a tiara encircles the high chignon. The oval face has small, elegant lips, a slim nose, the eyes are downcast and eyebrows raised in a high arch. The urna inlay is missing, a circular indent remaining on the forehead.
