1773-1800 ca. MANUSCRIPT: (LITIGATION FOR AN INHERITANCE). LAWSUIT BROUGHT BY MATEO JUNQUITO DE GUEVARA, NEIGHBOR OF CÓRDOBA, AND SECRETARY OF THE STA. INQUISITION, AGAINST HIS FATHER-IN-LAW JUSTO MAÑOSO, NEIGHBOR OF MARTOS (JAÉN). Folio of about 80 handwritten folios in folio size and presented in a capsule lined with Spanish paste, rubbed and with some humidity. This Matheo Junquito marries the daughter of Justo Mañoso, Maria Joseph Mañoso y Escobeda, from the town of Martos (Jaén). She receives a matrimonial dowry with a detailed trousseau and a property in lands in the same vicinity of Martos. From this marriage two daughters were born, when their mother died, they were left in the care of their grandparents, Justo Mañoso and Cathalina Escobedo, and the widower Matheo Junquito returned to Cordoba. The death of the daughters and the grandmother takes place, and the lawsuit that is the thread that runs through all these documents begins in 1773. While the daughters and the mother-in-law were alive, the father-in-law, Justo Mañoso, administered the dowry assets. In the second document is written the dowry delivery with all the goods and their value specified. In addition to the relation of the trousseau received by the couple, the possession of an orchard with a house of tile, of three bodies, of irrigation, with fruits, and located in the same term of the town of Martos, in the place of the Sierra Grande that they call La Mezquita (quoted exactly this way in the text in several occasions), that limits with the land of D. Fernando de Sotomaior is named. The rest of the documents revolve around the same lawsuit, they are transfers of different views of the same conflict and the first sheet of documents bears the signature of the notary who delivers this sheet of originals to Matheo Junquito de Cordoba so that he can dispose of them as he sees fit, signed on November 8, 1775.
