Jansen House Pair of Louis XV stools in molded, carved and cream lacquered wood, rectangular in shape, with a curved belt decorated with two flowers, resting on four arched legs surmounted by a fleururette. Upholstered in blue devoured velvet with two medallions in a garland frame. Height 47 Long 50 Depth 36 cm. Two square cushions with the same upholstery. Provenance: Princess Radziwill's apartment decorated by Maison Jansen, avenue Foch, Paris. Maison Jansen. A pair of Louis XV style lacquered wood stools. Velvet upholstery. Bespoke pieces of furniture for the Parisian apartment of Princess Radziwill. This set was made by the Jansen workshops on rue Saint-Sabin in Paris, under the direction of Monsieur Chastagnol for the cabinetmaking workshop, Monsieur Fumo for lacquerwork and Monsieur Cordelier for the upholstery workshop.
