Jansen House Louis XV style sofa in molded, carved wood and cream and blue lacquer. The curved armrests rest on a scalloped belt decorated with floral motifs. Eight cambered legs. Rich blue velvet upholstery with plant motifs. Height 87 Long 200 Depth 80 cm. Provenance: Princess Radziwill's apartment decorated by Maison Jansen, avenue Foch, Paris. Maison Jansen. A Louis XV style lacquered wood couch. Velvet upholstery. Bespoke piece of furniture for the Parisian apartment of Princess Radziwill. This chair was made by the Jansen workshops in rue Saint-Sabin, Paris, under the direction of Monsieur Chastagnol for the cabinetmaking workshop, Monsieur Fumo for lacquerwork and Monsieur Cordelier for the upholstery workshop.
