Pair of Louis XV style bergères
in molded, carved and cream lacquered wood. The backs are decorated with leaves and scrolls, while the armrests with cuffs rest on curved consoles. Four cambered legs, the fronts surmounted by flowers.
Cream silk, velvet and cotton upholstery with floral ornamentation.
Height 95 Width 69 Depth 60 cm.

This set was made by the Jansen workshops on rue Saint-Sabin in Paris, under the direction of Monsieur Chastagnol for the cabinetmaking workshop, Monsieur Fumo for lacquerwork and Monsieur Cordelier for the upholstery workshop.
