Eight illustrated manuscript folios, Qajar Persia and Kashmir, 19th century, gouache with ink on paper, inscribed in black nastaliq script, two depicting battle scenes, a holy man at court, a ruler at a feast, two noblemen in conversation and a young couple listening to a musical performance, the two Kashmir folios also depicting battle scenes, various sizes 32cm x 18cm and smaller, framed and with framed photograph of James Bond of Quetta (8) Provenance: The North Indian paintings in this lot by repute from the collection of James Bond, born Quetta, Pakistan and died in London in 1951 and by descent through he family until purchased by the current owner.
