On the recto, a miniature of a turbaned old man leaning on a thin stick on a brown background, with two flowery spandrels in the upper part, decorated with polychrome rinceaux in bloom on a red background. The miniature is set in blue margins speckled with gold.
On the reverse, a quatrain is written in broad nasta'liq calligraphy on a background of golden leaves, flowers and scrolls, framed by a fine calligraphic frieze, set in purple margins speckled with gold.
