Large manuscript, compilation of du'a prayers Black ink and polychrome pigments on paper Egypt, 15th century, Mamluk period 33 cm x 22 cm This acephalous manuscript in Arabic is a compilation of 5 du'a prayers (individual prayers), consisting of a text written in cursive script spread over 5 lines per page in black ink, interspersed with polychrome and gold florets, with numerous illuminated marginal vignettes. The brown leather western binding features the stamped and gilded title "Mamluk Qur'an Section" on the edge.
