Light cavalry officer's saber à la chasseur.
Double filigree chagrin-covered handle. Brass mounting, long-tail cap, three-prong guard and two shuttle-shaped auricles. Quillon curved towards the tip. Curved blade with flat back and hollow sides, engraved (oxidation, traces of blue and gold), signed Pierre Knecht in Solingen. Sheet metal scabbard with two brass bracelets and two iron rings.
