Horn handle with filigree. Chased brass mounting, openwork clamshell guard with shield stamped with the letter "Z" on a Toughs background. Curved blade with back engraved "Manufre Impale de Châtellerault Février 1853", with hollow sides and gutter. Tinplate scabbard with two straps.
