Rare object (d. approx. 19.5 x h. approx. 13 cm), Indonesia Java. Wood, ovoid helmet-like form (fruit bowl?). In the shape and design of a blangkon headdress, engraved with a floral pattern all around and a lotus plant on the back, two elongated openings on the sides at the front, traces of gold leaf and paint. Crack restored with tar (?) and iron wire clip. (362)
