JEAN PROUVÉ (1901-1984)
Type 512 Cafétaria, also known as Table Compas, the model designed around [1953].
Rectangular table.
The Compas-type base in folded, black-lacquered sheet metal; the two double tapered legs of triangular cross-section mounted in an inverted V-shape and joined by a central beam in black-lacquered tubular metal.
Each leg comes complete with a black-lacquered metal circular glide.
The top is in original black laminate over batten and edging.
Early 1950s edition.
Used condition, small accidents and scattered chips, scattered repaints on the base.
