A CHINESE GUAN-TYPE HU TWIN-HANDLED VASE, QING DYNASTY (1644-1912) Thinly potted, of pear shape, resting on a slightly flared foot, the tapered neck flanked by a pair of lug handles, covered all over and on the base in a pale creamy glaze suffused with a network of black crackle ('iron wire'), stopping above the foot to expose the dark gray ware burnt pale brown in the firing. Height: 21.5 cm. A CHINESE GUAN-TYPE BRUSH WASHER, QING DYNASTY (1644-1911) The brush washer is potted with ribbed sides, flaring from a slightly recessed base, covered overall with a thick pale bluish glaze suffused with a dense network of russet crackles thinning on the mouth rim. Diameter: 15.5 cm. A CHINESE GU-TYPE BRUSH WASHER, QING DYNASTY (1644-1912) The brush washer is potted with eight lobes, each in the shape of a mallow petal, flaring from a slightly recessed base, covered overall with a thick pale bluish glaze suffused with a dense network of russet crackles thinning on the mouth rim. Diameter: 12.2 cm.
