Paris, 1963, in-4 sheets, double-folded cover, cardboard folder decorated with 2 color lithographs engraved by Charles Sorlier, details of Marc Chagall's poster for the L'Événement exhibition, and slipcase. Some foxing to folders and endpapers. Illustrated with 60 unpublished black drawings reproduced in facsimile, and a detail of Marc Chagall's poster. First edition on Arches vellum. First edition of 125 numbered copies, with 19 (of 20) original color lithographs, and each illustration, drawing and lithograph, signed by its author, except Chagall. Our copy is justified "CH" and was specially printed for Mr. Lucien Fontanarosa.
