Elongated octagonal box from the late 19th/early 20th century in 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold decorated with diamond leaves and rose-cut diamonds on the lid in the "kundan" technique. The box is covered with champlevé enamel over the entire outer surface and in the hinged lid. The interior is enameled green with a central motif featuring a colorful bird. The edges are covered with royal blue enamel, featuring dove couples, symbols of love and purity. Under the finely engraved box, a pair of blue elephants, symbols of wisdom. From a private collection of a Belgian noble family. Jaipur enamels, Rajasthan.
