BAMOUN, Cameroon. Wood, reddish-brown patina. Monoxyle two-legged stool, a privilege of the king and certain nobles. It has a slightly curved rectangular seat with rounded edges. The sides are engraved in relief with a two-headed snake, symbolizing the king's double power. 1st half of the 20th century. Size: 55x20x22.5 cm. Restorations.
