Bram Bogart was born in Delft, Netherlands, in 1921. A house painter against his will, he studied at the School of Fine Arts in The Hague and soon turned to abstraction. At the end of the '50s, his first solo exhibition at the Galerie Creuze in Paris, revealed canvases with a thick, sculptural quality. In 1960, the artist moved to Belgium: from then on, his canvases became larger, with brighter, denser colors. painting proper. (J. Galand).
