Franco Giuli led a relentless pursuit of geometric abstraction and the investigation of structure and materials, in which reflection on the use of corrugated cardboard as the expressive medium of choice stands out. A rich retrospective was presented in 2013 at the Edieuropa Gallery in Rome. Bruno Corà is credited with curating his last two solo shows, "Franco Giuli: le costruzioni pittorico-plastiche e oltre" at Museo Bilotti, Rome, in 2016, and "Strutture e spazi di superficie" at Museo Riso, Palermo, in 2017.
